anyone heard anything from Texas state court today? Not just SC and CCA, but lower COA.
Hecht has called
Two things: (1) I'm biased, but accept with NLH (J. Hecht), SAB (J. Brister), or CJJ (C.J. Jefferson) if you get the chance. All three are brilliant and great to work for.
Will tell you right now that J. Hecht is--hands down--the most intellectually intimidating lawyer I've ever been around.
(2) Heard that CJJ has called as well.
Price has called for the CCA. Cochran won't call for about a week.
I recently interviewed with the First Court of Appeals. I was told that they are currently conducting screening interviews and will have callbacks in October. At that time all 5 justices that are hiring will interview the candidates and pick by senority.
Any former clerks or other reliable sources know which Supreme Court justices give exploding offers? I know some do, but I'm curious which ones
Does anyone have any interview tips for Judge Price on the Texas Criminal Court of Appeals? Or does anyone know his interview style, etc.?
Has anyone heard from Judge Ward in Marshall? What's the scoop on him?

Heard Willett and Jefferson have both made at least one offer.
Add Wainwright to Willett and Jefferson among those justices who have hired one. The rest should be making offers within the next week.
Johnson has made at least one offer.
Cochran hired a 3L from Texas
Johnson, Jefferson, and Willett each hired 3L's from Texas Tech.
Anyone heard anything about 4th or 14th Cts of Appeal?
14th Court - One judge has hired and some others are interviewing. Two judges are retiring. Thus, interviews for those positions won't take place until new judges are elected.
Any word on Meyers?
Judge Price made an offer.
The 4th Court of Appeals is scheduling interviews.
Does anyone know if the 4th Court of Appeals made offers?
Which TX SC justices have yet to fill both clerk spots?
What state positions are left? Any word on the 3rd COA?
4th Court is finished.
5th COA is done.
I don't think Medina has hired a second clerk yet. All other spots at the SCOTex are full.
Do SC, CCA, and COA post hiring needs on the web, or do you get the info from calling directly? Thanks.
