Does anyone know when Seattle district judges are calling &/or interviewing?
it's just dissapointing then ... Pechman specifically wanted people with Peace Corps/Fulbright/Rhodes (international) experience ... I was a Fulbright before law school and was not called by Pechman ...
Actually, all law clerks (court of appeals and SC) got a big raise from the numbers listed at the website above. Supreme Cout is 56K (starting) and court of appeals is 43K (going up to 46K by next summer).
Whaley e-mailed yesterday. He'll be conducting phone interviews next week and will then ask a smaller group for in-person interviews in Spokane in November.
Jones doesn't even have an address or phone number on the Western District of Washington's website, so I'm guessing he won't be getting around to thinking about a clerk until he at least has that.

Anyone know if Pechman is calling?
I haven't heard a thing.
pechman has been calling.
Coughenour has been calling.
5:16, are you a Rhodes or Fulbright?
nope, definitely not. i'm not even on law review!
Pechman is interviewing 9/20 and 9/21. Coughenour is calling now but not interviewing until early October.

Anybody know anything about Lasnik? Robart? Martinez?
Lasnik is apparently finished hiring for 2008.

Anybody have any updates?
At least one of Coughenour's two spots is taken.
Really? I heard Coughenour wasn't interviewing until October...
That's definitely wrong.
Interesting. My info came from a pretty good source. Where did you hear otherwise?
Coughenour has hired (as per OSCAR)
Interesting -- neither OSCAR nor FLCIS register him as having hired when I look just now.
But, yes, I have received word that Coughenour has finished hiring.
Interesting decision to have his clerks tell applicants that interviews weren't beginning until October.
Pechman has finished hiring.
Are Van Sickle and Whaley done?
Whaley e-mailed yesterday. He'll be conducting phone interviews next week and will then ask a smaller group for in-person interviews in Spokane in November.
anyone heard about the recently confirmed Seattle Judge Richard Jones?
Van Sickle?
Any word on Whaley's progress?
What's going on with the new Judge Jones in Seattle?
Jones doesn't even have an address or phone number on the Western District of Washington's website, so I'm guessing he won't be getting around to thinking about a clerk until he at least has that.
Got the heave-ho from Whaley after wasting a weekend on his writing assignment ... no, I'm not bitter ...
Interesting how he gives out the writing assignment BEFORE he decides which people he'd like to see in Spokane.
Zilly is sending out rejections
any updates on jones (seattle)?
I just heard that Jones is already done hiring. Can anyone verify his status?
He's not done hiring. Per call to chambers, he's not yet looking at his applications.
10:26 - Are you referring to his hiring for 08-09 or for 07-08? I've heard that he is done with 07-08 but not 08-09.
I am talking about 08 - 09.
Anyone have any 07-08 information about Jones?
no calls to chambers re 07-08 for Jones?
1:33 - You could always call and let us know what you hear...
Jones finished hiring for 07-08 on Friday. He hired a career clerk and a term clerk.
any word on Jones' plans/schedule for hiring 2008-09 clerks?
