Post an anonymous comment with information regarding clerkship interviews, hirings, vacancies, and the like, regarding the U.S. District Court Judges of Nevada.
Hunt letter was odd given that, according to our school's internal reporting system, Hunt made some calls on Tuesday. But I guess at least he's being open-minded, even if he has preferences.
So will Hunt interview ANYONE who applied and who wants to interview? Or, do you think only people he would actually consider got that letter - it was unclear to me. Also, any info on what it is like to work for him?
Re: Hunt. It is true. He does allow anyone who wants to interview to come on in. Now, I suppose he may have his limits. If you are not actually in law school, or if you have been placed on double secret probation, he may not actually let you come in. But it is true, he will interview you if you applied, and if you want the interview.
Re: Hunt, I don't think it's a cruel policy, but it is a mixed blessing. On the one hand, I really respect him for keeping an open mind about applicants and not vetoing people based on GPA alone. On the other hand, if you receive such a letter, it's hard not to be discouraged - I have to think that you'd have to absolutely amaze him in your interview to be competitive with his preferred candidates that he called.
I clerked for Judge Jones, so while I can't say what Hunt was like everyday, I can tell you that his clerks all loved him. According to them, he was great to work for.
Has Hunt hired or called yet? Has anyone interviewed with him yet? It seems like he's interviewing hundreds of people from the postings here, is that correct?

Pro has called and set up phone interviews
Any other Nevada information?
Anyone else get a letter from Hunt?
Yes.
Jones called yesterday.

Yes, Hunt will interview anyone who applies and wants to interview, even if that person has no chance.
Re: Hunt - can that really be the case? What is the point of doing that - it just sounds cruel.
Anyone heard from Reno judges (Hicks, Reed, Sandoval)??

Has anyone heard what it is like clerking for Hunt? Who would I ask?
