Judge Titus is currently interviewing law school graduates for the 2008/09 term. He has already hired one clerk.
Judges Blake and Motz will not be hiring until the regular fall schedule.
Judge Messitte has hired one graduate for the 2008-2009 term.
Bennett sent a letter a few days ago to applicants stating that he has hired for 2008-2009
It looks like Messitte has hired for 2008, according to the Federal Law Clerk Information System. Any word?

Sorry -- I meant that he has filled his interview slots, at least through Monday afternoon.
Any word on Davis?
I called the chambers of Judge Davis to see if I could schedule an interview (b/c interviewing with other D. Md. judges that day) -- apparently he hasn't worked through his applications yet and isn't on the regular clerkship schedule.

If Judge Davis is not following the general clerkship hiring schedule, does anyone know when he does expect to start calling?
Do Blake and Motz give exploding offers? Will anything be left if you don't interview Wednesday?
Nickerson? Garbis? Any word? These two are supposed to be great judges. Do they tend to hang back--or are they done?
Both Judges Nickerson and Garbis are great judges. No one has been hired for either chambers thus far.
Judge Williams has hired 2 clerks.
I hope Blake and Motz still have slots open after today! My interview is tomorrow. :-)

When did Davis start making calls! Is he partial to UMD grads? I heard that he is. Do you have any other info on him?
To follow up, what about people with previous clerking experience?
actually, 9:27, the only person i know who's gotten called by Davis went to UMD for undergrad, so there must be truth to that rumor. don't know any more than that, though
F. Motz usually often hires UVA 3Ls in the top 15% of their class.

9/17, 8:49 am -- I know that Nickerson has hired at least one 3L. I have heard that some have interviewed with Garbis already but I have no idea if he has given out any offers.
