Btw, would an out of state 3L at a top 50/top 33%ish of class/ed board on a journal/published/moot court/small fed clerking experience/went to undergrad in WA state have a shot at a SC clerkship here? Or are the SC clerkships pretty much all UDub grads?
If salaries went up that much, that's great but too late for me. I clerked there three years ago and made 38k.
While there are a lot of graduates from Washington law schools clerking at the SC, quite a few, including me, went elsewhere. It just depends on the justice.
Sweeney of Div. III is mailing out rejection letters to those not in the top 20% of their class. Forget whether or not you're a great writer with great references. Going to a shit school like Gonzaga and being in the top 20% is what counts! Good riddance Spokane.

This is now one of the highest paying state supreme court clerkships. It is $57,000 per year, going up to around $60,000 next year.
It's actually one of the lowest (around 40k per year).
So which of you is right?

Salaries just went up, the Aug. 15 post is correct.
